Precise Surveying - Field Applications & Concepts
3. A data link must be established to transfer the base’s RTK
correction data to the rover. This data link can be
implemented in several ways:
– UHF radio
– Cellular modem (GSM, GPRS or CDMA)
– Other external device (e.g. Wi-Fi, spread-spectrum re-
broadcast).

ccessful surveying requires getting the system to be
initialized and preserving initialization, or re-initialzing if
initialization is lost, throughout the survey. See
Initialization on page 49.
