Known PI and Tangents
The PI and Tangents screen is used to compute and store the PC, PT,
and radius points when the PI point and the direction of both
tangents are known, along with one other curve attribute.
PI Point
: is the PI point.
/ : is the direction of
the tangent from the PI to the PC.
/ : is the direction of
the tangent from the PI to the PT.
The remaining curve attribute can be defined
with one of the following selections:
• : is the distance from the radius
point to the curve.
• : is the deflection angle.
• : is the deflection angle that results in a 100-ft. arc
length.
• : is the deflection angle that results in a 100-ft.
chord length.
Store PC
: When checked, will store the computed PC point with
the specified point name.
Store RP
: When checked, will store the computed radius point with
the specified point name.
Store PT
: When checked, will store the computed PT point with the
specified point name.
